REMOVALIST FEAR

DON’T FEAR CROSSING HOPPERS REMOVALS ARE HERE TO HELP!

Hi there, yes this is me with the cowboy hat and fridge making it look easy. In this image I am making a quick delivery for a customer. (This kind customer took the photos; thanks Judy!.)

If only everything could be put on a trolley like a fridge, but then again if everything was this easy you probably wouldn’t need me! You may not know it but at least 80 % of your household furniture can be moved single handedly with the right equipment, like this Fridge Trolley with the ratchet strap. Or the yellow box trolley you see briefly with the blankets and ties, indispensable. Even the less frequently used trolleys like the Piano trolley and the wooden dolly are ALL EQUALLY INDISPENSABLE.

My trucks full width 2 ton hydraulic lift has saved the day countless times, and yet I still see people hiring 3 ton trucks with NO EQUIPMENT. Sure, I know that these people are trying to save a buck, and I applaud their hard efforts but the reality is they are suffering REMOVALIST FEAR!

I swear infrequently in public, but long and hard to myself whenever I see this! WHY? Because I KNOW that I could have made money AND saved them MONEY!

THIS IS HOW & WHY
HIRING A 3 TONNE ‘CAR LICENSE’ TRUCK

» TRUCK HIRE (WEEKDAY – WEEKEND) YOU PAY: $150 – $190
» PLUS $25 TO REDUCE INSURANCE EXCESS. Or risk $5000
» PLUS 18 CENTS PER KM OVER 100KM
» PLUS ALL DIESEL USED (TYPICAL USAGE-25 LITRES PER 100KM)

YOU GET : 3 TONNE TRUCK BETWEEN 18 AND 24 CUBIC METERS & TAILGATE LOADER.
YOU DON’T GET : Fridge trolley; Box trolley; Piano trolley; oversize cabinet dolly; removal blankets or even ties.
YOU TAKE : All the risk with your furniture, the truck and your body !

Now you WILL spend $50 at least or more in diesel, because you WILL make multiple trips back and forth, unlike me. Why? Because you don’t have any ties or blankets and you only have about 22 cubic meters to start with. Once you realise that you only get to use the bottom half of the truck because you don’t have any blankets or ties you are left with about 16 cubic meters (I am being generous here) Alternatively you can damage all your furniture and just CRAM IT IN THERE. Good luck ;)

Also you WILL go over 100 km’s for the reasons above, so YES be prepared to pay more when you return the truck. Once you get there you WILL probably want to buy or hire 1 trolley at least; there goes another $25 in rental, and a few blankets and some rope?!?, sorry no proper ties on offer there but that’s another $25 please.

HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY?
Anywhere upwards from $225 conservatively.
SO WHAT, you say!

My two hour minimum costs $220 and if we just move all your big things only, that’s probably all it will take. What? HOW? Well,

My average job takes 3.5 hrs. That average is based on EVERY full house removal I have done. It is true that most of my work is local, 55 km’s full trip average. My laborer and I can FILL my 43 CUBIC METER truck to the roof with furniture, move it locally and unload into your new house in less than 3.5 hrs.
WE DO THIS ANY / AND EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.
If you hire us just to move your BIG stuff only (30 CUBIC METERS), using the average trip distance we should be done and dusted in 2.5 hrs max. THAT’S $275.

All right so I lied, it ‘might’ cost you $50 dollars MORE for me and my labourer to move all your big stuff, take all the risk with our bodies, the truck AND your furniture when in transit! (See SMOOTH MOOVE PAGE) Small potatoes I think. But if that’s asking too much then PLEASE, don’t call me. Apologies if the above was a long read, but I was at PAINS to be as FAIR and ACCURATE as possible. I could have just said,

GET OVER YOUR
REMOVALIST FEAR!
But then in fairness, not all removal operators are as well equipped or as motivated as I am.
